Frequently asked questions

How is this different from outsourcing?

Outsourcing gives you a shared pool and a ticket queue. Ledgerhands gives you one named professional who works only for your firm, in your systems, at your hours — recruited to your role definition and managed by us as their employer. It's a team member, not a vendor.

Can I interview the candidate?

Yes — always. You interview a shortlist of 2–3 screened finalists and nobody joins your team without your approval. If none fit, we go back to the funnel at no cost.

Who manages the employee?

Both of us, in different lanes. You direct their day-to-day work like any team member. We handle everything an employer handles: HR, payroll, equipment, performance reviews, training and retention.

Can I replace someone?

Yes. If it's ever not working, we replace them free of charge under our replacement guarantee — including knowledge transfer to the new team member.

What software do they know?

QuickBooks Online and Xero are core; many also work in NetSuite, Bill.com, Gusto, ADP and Ramp. Software proficiency is tested in screening, and we train to your specific stack during onboarding.

How quickly can someone start?

Typically 2–4 weeks from discovery call to first day: about two weeks to a shortlist, then your interviews, then training and security onboarding.

How is client data protected?

NDAs before any access, MFA everywhere, managed workstations with no local storage, role-based access and an enterprise password vault — with a SOC 2 roadmap as we scale. See the Security page for the full picture.
